"making documentary films" part 3

This is about chapters 3 and 4. There are more then one form of reality films, threes ones that are actually real and threes the Hollywood made ones that are acted out. it's reality it's just acted out. there are showing a story by having actors playing the part of the people in real life. no a days people are able to enhance images that aren't actually there, computers and technology are so developed that you can add so much stuff to your films which a can make a documentary seem fake. recording human behavior isn't the easies thing to do, you have to capture seems without having anything scripted and you have to not abuse your amateur stance. when recording a person behavior you don't want to record there personality. your recording there behavior and how they act. people don't always act the same, people act differently in different situations.  there are many different  ways to go at filming peoples behavior and it's something that isn't always easy to do.

"making documentary films" part 2

The second chapter in making documentary films talks about a variety of things. At first in Hollywood everyone had to make the perfect scene. everything had to be perfect in the movie and actors had to hit the mark. there soon became rules that i film maker had to go by, if it wasn't perfect then they had to re shoot the film or they had to just not shoot it at all. with all theses rules and perfection people wanted more freedom. documentary films gave you the freedom of filming because they were shoot with real life and had real life situations. documentary films has two different approaches to filming, one is historical and the other is anthropological. anthropological is about the people and in there view of life. historical is more about history and events that took place.

Three minute film

My idea for a three minute film to record my ways through the halls to show how crowded they are and to show whats its like for a student like myself to walk through the halls. I will also interview other students and ask them about how they feel about the school ways halls! If this idea isn't going to work my back up idea is recording my weekend and show people what i do on a weekend...?

"Making Documentary Films and Reality Videos"

The book "Making Documentary Films and Reality Videos" by Barry Hampe explains how to make a good Documentary Film. In the first chapter it explains some main topics, i will talk about some of them. it starts out saying how people think that making a Documentary Film looks and sounds like a really easy thing to do. how hard can it be to follow someone around? but it explains how it isn't as easy as it looks because theres a lot more to a Documentary Film then just following someone around. you have to actually edit films and theres so much more to it then just following someone around hoping for something interesting to happen. It also says that it isn't all about the camera. You have to be the one to capture a good clip, just because you have a better camera doesn't mean your film will be better then someone who doesn't have as good as a camera then yours, its all about how you use the Carma. Interesting things just don't happen it takes time for making a Documentary Film.

Grizzly Man

The movie The Grizzly Man was about a guy named Timothy Treadwel who was in love with bears. H would spend all his summers in the Bear Maze for the last 13 years of his life. Within the 5 years of his life he decided to tape the summers he spent in the bear maze. He had brought his girlfriend Amy with him for the last year he spent there, and both of them had died by a bear. He believed that he was protecting the bears but he wasn't really protecting them at all... he was actually probably being annoying and I'm sure the bears didn't want him around. After watching the movie, i think that it was a well put together documentary film. The film had good music and had a good ratio of interviews to bear scenes. i wasn't a big fan of the narrators voice. I think that some of the things he said was unclear. over all i enjoyed the movie and i think it's one of the best documentary films i have seen in a long time. i wouldn't mind watching the film again!
